One of the most popular ways to make extra money online is to take paid surveys. Although this side hustle won’t make you rich, you can easily make a little extra.

We’ve tried one popular survey called LifePoints to determine if its offers are real and if it’s worth the time.

Read on until the end to know how you can earn through LifePoints. Don’t skip over the tips on how you can make the most out of LIfePoints and some nuggets we found based on our experience.

Is LifePoints a legitimate money-making site?

LifePoints is an online market research platform that rewards participating members. Users get points for every completed survey that they can redeem for PayPal credit or gift cards.

The survey platform can be accessed online, through lifepointspanel.com, or through its app, which is available for Android and iPhone users.

LifePoints used to go by the name National Family Opinion. It’s operated by Lightspeed, a Kantar Group company that’s known for providing custom research and analysis.

Its first-ever research study was conducted in 1946, and LifePoints has evolved into a reliable survey panel that’s backed by a well-established research company ever since its inception.

LifePoints follow a common business model that helps various brands improve their products and services by understanding customers’ needs.

Members of LifePoints complete surveys for points, which they can redeem for rewards, such as PayPal credits or gift cards for popular brands, such as Starbucks and Amazon.

LifePoints is a legit survey platform that offers redeemable points for every successfully answered survey.

So, if you’re looking for an easy way to earn by answering surveys, then LifePoints is a good option.

How Can You Make Money With LifePoints?

Here are some of the ways you can earn with LifePoints.

You’ll get 10 points by simply signing up with LifePoints and verifying your email address. After the registration, you can earn another 10 points by answering a few questions to help determine the best surveys that suit you.

Participate In Surveys

Answering surveys is the first way you can earn with LifePoints. You may have access to available surveys when you log in to the site or you may receive emails with survey invitations almost every day.

How much you’ll earn varies between the surveys you take, which may range from 20 to 500 points.

In most surveys, you have to answer a few questions first to determine if the survey is for you. If yes, then you can proceed with the rest of the survey. But if not, you will be directed to the end.

Product Testing

You may also participate in product or service development by taking part in behavioral diaries. You may receive an email from LifePoints asking you to monitor how often you do certain activities, like your online shopping habits.

The time to complete surveys varies but it usually takes between 10 and 20 minutes. LifePoints indicate how long it will take you to complete the survey, so you’ll be prepared or decide not to answer it if you don’t have enough time.

The points you’ll earn differ between surveys, too. Usually, the longer the time to complete a survey, the higher the points.

As previously mentioned, you may be screened out from taking the survey after answering certain questions. When that happens, you’ll still be awarded 2 or 3 points for your effort and time. If you want to qualify for more surveys, make sure that your profile is updated.

You may get disqualified from a survey for various reasons, such as the following:

  • The survey has been closed because it has already reached its needed number of participants.
  • The survey may have reached the number of respondents required per category.
  • You probably were unable to meet the survey criteria.

Pro-Tip: Surveys always ask if you work in marketing or advertising companies. If you say yes, you can’t complete the survey. You’ll only get 2-3 consolation points.

Is Your Personal Information Safe With LifePoints?

When you sign up for LifePoints, you’ll be asked for your personal information. These include your name, gender, birth date, and address.

If you’re worried about the safety of your personal details, LifePoints assures you that they’re safe.

According to the company, it doesn’t sell your personal details to any third party. They also don’t run adverts on their website, so you don’t have to worry about those annoying pop-ups.

What Are The Advantages Of Using LifePoints?

If you’re wondering why you should go with LifePoints, there are many advantages to using this survey platform.

  • It’s free.
  • It has a user-friendly interface.
  • It gives you an idea of how much is needed to complete each survey.
  • It states how many points you’ll get when you complete a survey.
  • It has a low minimum number of points required to redeem your reward.
  • It offers different ways to redeem your points (PayPal, gift card, donation).

What Are The Disadvantages Of Using LifePoints?

Just like other survey sites, LIfePoints has its own set of disadvantages.

It may be difficult to qualify for a survey. As previously mentioned, you need to answer a few questions before proceeding with the survey.

Your answers will determine if you’re the target audience. If not, you’ll be screened out, which means you’re not qualified to take the survey.

You only have limited options to earn, including taking surveys, signing up, and behavior diaries. Other survey sites offer rewards by shopping online and watching videos.

It takes 10 days to get your reward, which some people may consider a long time for processing claims.

Are There Any Dangers To Signing Up For LifePoints?

When you’re interested in signing up for LifePoints or any other online money-making sites, you need to ask how the company that runs it makes money. Be wary of sites that offer easy ways to earn cash but ask you to pay a fee.

Most legitimate money-making sites won’t require you to post a deposit or pay a fee to join. In most cases, these sites are paid for by the brands and manufacturers that use their platform to get information or market feedback.

LifePoints doesn’t ask for a deposit or a signup fee. It’s operated by an established company and it offers a legitimate way to earn a few extra bucks on the side by answering surveys.

Gift Card

You need at least 550 points to earn a gift card for Amazon, for example. Just like redeeming your rewards in PayPal, you’ll have to wait up to 10 business days to get your gift card.

Is LifePoints For You?

If you love to share your opinion then LifePoints is a wonderful option. It’s a perfect choice if you don’t mind answering surveys.

This survey platform is for you if you’re looking to earn a few extra dollars without having to start a regular side hustle or pay for anything to get started.

On the other hand, LifePoints isn’t for you if you don’t have the patience to answer multiple questions to qualify or to wait for several days before you can get your reward.

This survey platform isn’t for you if you’re expecting to earn serious cash in a short amount of time. You should also look for another option if you’d rather keep your opinions to yourself.

What Are The Other Sites Similar To LifePoints?

There are other sites that have a similar business model to LifePoints.

Branded Surveys

In Branded Surveys, you can earn up to $5 per survey, and redeeming points takes only 2 business days. It also offers several ways to earn, such as daily polls, leaderboards, and doing business with affiliated businesses.

Survey Junkie

Another similar site is Survey Junkie. You can earn between $1 and $3 per survey that takes 15 minutes to complete. More comprehensive surveys, which may last up to an hour or so, will award you as much as $10.

Just like LifePoints, you may also be screened out from completing the survey. However, you’ll be awarded 2-3 points for your effort. You can also earn more money by participating in product testing, phone surveys, and online focus groups.

Swagbucks

Swagbucks is a popular rewards program that offers a wide range of options when it comes to earning extra cash.

You can take part in surveys, play games, do online shopping, or do online research.

You’ll get a $5 reward for signing up and earn as much as 10% cashback when you go online shopping through Swagbucks.

The minimum payout for gift cards is $1 and $5 for PayPal credits. It may take up to 2 days to get your reward. You’ll receive an email with a claim link for your reward.

Verdict: Is LifePoints Worth It?

If you love answering surveys then LifePoints is for you. But if you’re the type of person who wishes to earn extra cash fast through a variety of other options, such as watching videos, playing games, or shopping online, then you’ll have to find a different survey panel.

You also need to be patient since it’s not easy to qualify for a survey and redeeming rewards can take up to 10 days.

LifePoints has a lower payout minimum of $5 compared to Survey Junkie, which is at $10. But when it comes to the number of money-making options, LifePoints only has a few.

LifePoints is more focused on conducting surveys while other money-making sites, such as Swagbucks, offer a wide range of options. You may play games, watch videos, or complete microtasks to earn extra cash.

It all boils down to your preference. If you’re not in a rush to earn cash and if you love taking surveys then you should consider signing up for LifePoints. It’s a legitimate money-making site for survey enthusiasts like you.
